Arkansas Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
About Us
The Arkansas Chapter of the ACFE is chapter #84 and serves all of Central Arkansas as well as other areas around the State.  Our Chapter hosts an annual two day Fraud Conference once a year with speakers that cover various topics including fraud schemes and investigations, federal, state and local government frauds, banking and mortgage frauds, internal audit and internal control matters, and forensic accounting and other litigation related matters just to name a few.  Our membership base includes employees from a wide variety of organizations including many federal, state and local governments and agencies, private investigators, CPA firms, public and privately held corporations, banks and financial institutions, and many more.

Scholarship Program

In addition to our annual Fraud Conference, our Chapter also strives to encourage our young members and future members through a scholarship program.  Annually, prior to the start of the summer quarter, students in accounting and related programs, as well as law enforcement or criminal justice programs are encouraged to apply for a scholarship from the Chapter.  One scholarship each year is specifically designated for a law enforcement or criminal justice student, while up to five other scholarships are awarded to accounting and related program students.  Each scholarship candidate is required to write a letter to the scholarship committee and include a short narrative describing their needs and why they are applying for the scholarship, and their future career goals or aspirations.  A transcript (official or unofficial) must also be included with the letter to the scholarship committee.  Each scholarship is a one-time award, but candidates may reapply on an annual basis.

Speakers

Many of our members are asked to speak at various accounting, law enforcement, government and other industry conferences, seminars, chapter meetings and events.  If you are interested in having a member speak at an event, please contact our Chapter leadership or use the Contact Us page to provide details of your request.
